Following the call in July 2014, the SPFS Programme Innovation Fund has awarded two research grants to the following proposals:

1. "Mass Assembly of Microdisk Lasers on Silicon Photonics Devices", submitted by Dr Steven Neale from University of Glasgow
2. "Scalable, Parallel Integration of III-Vs on SOI", submitted by Dr Marc Sorel from University of Glasgow and Dr Michael Strain from University of Strathclyde.

These grants became effective on 1st December 2014.
